Community guidelines
Short rules that keep autobids honest and pleasant. They apply to listings, offers, messages and the community.
For everyone
- Be honest and be respectful. No abuse, harassment, discrimination or threats.
- Don't use fake accounts, and don't make an offer unless you intend to buy.
- Don't share personal contact details to deal off the platform after we've connected you.
- Don't post spam, ads or anything illegal.
For sellers
- Only list a car you own, or are authorised to sell, with papers in your name or ready to transfer.
- Tell the truth about accidents, repairs, repainting, flood exposure, modifications and any loan.
- Use photos of your own car, taken recently, without watermarks or text. See the photo guide.
- Don't list stolen, salvage-titled, forged or unregistered cars.
- Respond to our team and to buyers promptly and keep the listing up to date.
For buyers
- Inspect before you pay, and be straightforward if you're walking away.
- Turn up on time to viewings, or tell the seller you can't.
- Pay the agreed price to the seller after inspection, using traceable methods.
In the community
- Stay on topic: cars, buying, selling, events and ownership.
- Give advice as opinion, not as fact, and say when you're not sure.
- Don't name or shame private individuals. Report problems to us instead.
What happens if rules are broken
We may remove content, pause listings, restrict offers, or close accounts. Serious cases, such as fraud, may be reported to the authorities.
See something wrong? Tell our team when they call you, or through your dashboard once reporting is added.
