Seller Terms

Version 2026-10-21.

Draft. This page still has blanks (shown in [square brackets]) that the owner or a lawyer must complete before launch.

These Seller Terms apply to everyone who lists a vehicle on autobids.in, together with the Terms of Use.

1. You are the seller

You sell your vehicle to the buyer yourself. The contract of sale is between you and the buyer. autobids is not a party to it, does not own or handle your vehicle, and does not collect or hold the price. Your vehicle stays with you until you complete the sale.

2. Who can list

  • You must be the registered owner of the vehicle, or authorised by the owner to sell it.
  • Private vehicles only. Commercial and taxi vehicles are not accepted at launch.
  • The vehicle must be in Delhi NCR.
  • You must be 18 or older.

3. Your listing must be true

When you submit a listing you confirm the seller declaration shown at that step. In particular you promise that:

  • the photos and videos are of this vehicle, taken recently and not edited or filtered to hide anything;
  • the details are true and current;
  • you have disclosed all known damage, accidents, floods, loans and pending challans.

If something changes before the sale, update or remove the listing.

4. Photos and videos

  • Take them with the guided camera, or book our free photo shoot.
  • We keep your original photos and videos. We publish only copies that our team has checked, with number plates blurred and location data removed.
  • You keep ownership of your photos and videos. You give [Company name] permission to show them on autobids.in and in our apps for as long as your listing is live.

5. Documents

We ask for your RC, photo ID and insurance (and service records if you have them) only to check the details of your listing. We never show them to buyers. How long we keep them is in the Privacy Notice.

6. Review

Our team reviews every listing before it goes live, usually within a day. We may ask you to redo photos or documents, or refuse a listing. We will tell you why.

7. Price and offers

  • You set your price. You receive 100% of it; buyers pay a fee to autobids on top.
  • Buyers make offers. Each stays open for 48 hours. You may accept the highest offer, decline offers, or hold your asking price. You are never obliged to accept an offer.
  • When you accept an offer, the listing is locked while you complete the sale.

8. Meeting buyers and handing over

  • Meet in a safe, public place where possible, and let the buyer inspect the vehicle and its original documents.
  • Do not ask a buyer to pay an advance before they have seen the vehicle and papers.
  • Complete the RC transfer (Forms 29/30), loan closure (Form 35), insurance transfer and any challans with the buyer. These are between you and the buyer.

9. Fees

Listing is free. Optional services (for example a mechanic visit paid by the buyer) are charged as shown when chosen.

10. What we may do

We may refuse, pause or remove a listing, and suspend an account, if these terms or the Terms of Use are broken, or to protect buyers. See Grievance Redressal if you disagree.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will tell you about material changes. Indian law applies. [Lawyer: confirm jurisdiction and add any indemnity or liability wording.]
